Joe Prothero

It is with deep regret that I have learnt of the death of our long-standing member and great supporter of the NBS, Joe Prothero.

Joe had to give up his birds earlier in the year but was for many years a great stalwart of the Society and will be miised by his many friends.

Our condolences to his family.

Joe's funeral will be held on Wedensday 15th Jan at Distington Crematorium CA14 4QY at 13:15. There will be no get-together after the service..

Our next open meeting will be on January 5th at Bowburn starting at 2:30. This is our annual nominations meeting, and there are/will be various posts available if anyone would like to consider. We also have the NBS BS delegate Adrian Richards to update the members on the latest BS Ptronage rules and ideas going forward. Thanks you.

Open and SRV Show Dates for 2025

Our 2025 Open show date has been mover back two weeks and will now be on week 28, the 13th July 2025. Judges are Bev Hutt, Graham Barton, John Punchard and Robbie Keeber.

Special and Rare Variety show date - September 14th 2025. Judges to be annouced soon.

Judges engaged are Ian Clarke and Adrian Richards
